ABI Static Caravan Holiday Homes
ABI caravans began in 1962 as Ace Caravans with £2000 capital in Hull. The company started producing two models, the Ace 10 and the 12' Ace Continental. In 1972, Ace Caravans and Belmont Caravans, a manufacturer of holiday homes (static caravans), merged to form Ace Belmont International (ABI).
Though it used to be the second largest caravan tourer manufacturer, ABI now concentrates on making fine-quality caravan holiday homes. ABI's 2004 Moderna model was named the 2004 Caravan Holiday Home of the Year. This was followed by another award in 2005 to the ABI Westwood model.
- Narelle - a new range for 2008 which features a spacious open plan. It is designed for the entry-level market, with a choice of seven models, with two or three bedrooms. The lounge features a vaulted ceiling and wrap-around seating with individual cushions. The practical kitchen comes with a breakfast bar in the 36x12 models. The four 12' models come with a walk-in wardrobe, a fold-out bed in the lounge and a coat cupboard, and a second WC in the three-bedroom models.
- Roselle - new for 2008 there are four model choices in the Roselle caravan range, designed to provide a carefree holiday atmosphere. The vaulted ceiling in the lounge combines perfectly with beautiful kitchen and dining areas for an airy and spacious look. The fabric on the upholstery is echoed on the kickboards and pelmets for a coordinated look. There is plenty of valuable storage space. Casement doors in pleasing designs open onto comfortable bedrooms. A full-width shower awaits in the bathroom.
- Focus - The Focus, with a new bigger bay window, has become a family favourite since its launching last year. The U-shaped kitchen design provides space and plumbing for a full-size dishwasher, washing machine or extra cupboard, and leads directly into the elegant dining room and cosy lounge. Central heating and double glazing are optional.
- Allerton - this range offers either an open-plan layout or one with doors separating the lounge from the kitchen. There are also two styles of furnishings to select from. It has an electric fire, wall-mounted with back-lighting, in the nicely sized lounge. The white-walnut kitchen has roomy cupboards. Double glazing and central heating are standard fittings making the Allerton as desirable to visit in the cold-months of winter or the warmth (we hope) of summer.
- Elan - A full-width bay window gives light and space to the new Elan range. Contemplate its fine mix of comfort and practicality while relaxing in the lounge before a back-lit electric fire. The suite is done in leather and upholstery. Kitchen flooring in oak veneer and tongue-and-groove flooring in the bathroom make this holiday home so enjoyable.
- Ashcroft - The new Ashcroft is UPVC-clad for insulation to make this a beautiful holiday home ideal for visiting whether Summer or Winter. Cook easy meals with the large gas hob, and dine in comfort on leather chairs around a wooden dining table. An electric fire burns in the sitting room, with lovely soft furnishings, give this range from ABI are feeling of quality.
- Milano - New last year, the tinted V-shaped Milano window at one end of the structure provides a wonderful view from the lounge. The interiors are done in chestnut, coffee, and black colours throughout the space. The kitchen is a delight and has worktops on four sides. There is a breakfast bar, perfect for the light lunch or those leisurely breakfats. More formal meals can be taken at the dining table. The choice is yours.
- Valencia - Choose between an open-plan Valencia or separated lounge and kitchen. Soft furnishings come in two style options. An electric fire burns at the centre of the lounge. Light walnut kitchen, central heating and double glazing are standard features.
- Westwood Lodge - French doors open onto the well proportioned lounge with cream sofas and a sandstone fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, eye-level oven, grill and microwave along with an integrated fridge freezer and washing machine. The bathroom is quite large and has stone-effect walls. Air conditioning is available as an optional extra.
