Caravan Club boss in TV interview

In an interview on the new edition of The Caravan Channel TV show - due to be broadcast July 6th - Trevor Watson will explain that he sees a strong future for the Caravan Club if it sticks to its mandate and continues to provide caravanners with useful information and services.
The editor and presenter of the show, Chris Gosling, said that the interview with Mr Watson was a coup for the show and showed that television programmes about caravanning were growing in popularity.
"It's another demonstration that our kind of niche broadcasting, in co-operation with broadcaster Information TV, is becoming increasingly well-accepted by both major organisations and the audience," Mr Gosling explained.
"There is a fast-growing video element in the caravan industry's websites - but this is almost exclusively advertising, funded by caravan and motorhome builders and sellers.
"But the Caravan Channel's material is all editorially independent. This gives real value to our output . . . we tell the truth as we see it, without commercial bias or influence."
Recently, the Caravan Club's own website was recognised by the travel industry when it was given the Top Tour Operator award at the annual TravelMole Web Awards.
