Caravanners threatened by UK motorists

According to Eurocamp Independent, over 75 per cent of caravanners believe UK motorists to be the most aggressive drivers in Europe.
Only one in 20 caravanners said they had experienced any hostility from other road users when driving in Germany, France and Spain.
While in the UK, caravan owners revealed that they receive the most abuse when driving on motorways. In fact, 25 per cent of caravanners described the M25 as the most 'vicious' road in the country.
"It seems our European neighbours are much more accommodating when it comes to caravanners, reflecting their more relaxed approach to everyday life," said a spokesperson for the company.
"It seems caravanners, closely followed by lorry drivers, take the unnecessary brunt of motorists' frustrations.
"The road networks on the continent, such as the German Autobahn, mean caravanners and motorists can travel side by side and not in competition."
Recently, the Caravan Club reported that it represents the interests of over 300,000 caravanning families in the UK - showing how popular the pastime has become.
