Bullseye star given caravan by ex-con

Tony Green, the co-host of the popular television darts quiz Bullseye, has revealed that a devoted fan once gave him a caravan made out of matchsticks.

In an interview with the Sun newspaper, Mr Green explained that he was often give strange items by fans of the show, but that the model caravan was perhaps the oddest.

When asked by the newspaper what was the most peculiar thing he was ever given, Mr Green replied: "A caravan - not the type you're thinking of though.

"It was a gypsy caravan made of matchsticks from this guy who came and told me how much he loved watching me on TV."

However, Mr Green continued, explaining that the caravan-maker had recently been held at Her Majesty's Pleasure.

"Unbeknown to me, he had just come out of prison and he made it while he was inside. He collected all the matchsticks and built it over the time he was in there," he told the paper.

Tony Green is one of a growing list of celebrities who have revealed they enjoy collecting caravans and motorhomes. Stars which have recently purchased full-sized caravans include Jamie Oliver and Robbie Williams.
