Oxfordshire 'prepares for the National Caravan Rally'
Article Published On 22 May 2007
The Oxford Mail reports that officials are making plans to deal with around 12,000 caravans and that more that 4,700 sites have already been booked by enthusiastic caravanners.
To make sure the caravanners leave sites in pristine conditions, the local council will be issuing people with a recycling pack when they arrive at the site.
Len Short, the Caravan Club's head of events told the paper: "We have various recycling initiatives on our 200 sites, so we are delighted to have an effective scheme in place at our national rally as well."
At the celebratory event, caravanners from up and down the country will get the chance to meet and socialise, sharing their love of the pastime.
For entertainment, the Caravan Club promises that there will be various quizzes and social events and games.
