'Pimped' caravans 'could be hard to insure'

Some people choose to modify old cars and trucks, turning them into dream caravans, but Mike Stammers, assistant manager of Alan Blunden, said that many insurers would not cover these vehicles.
Mr Blunden explained that some insurers view these sorts of vehicles as "slightly high risk", especially if "they're not professionally done".
Recently, a music festival - due to be held in Cornwall in June - revealed that it would be awarding prizes for the most outlandish and improved caravans at the event.
However, Mr Blunden did reveal that caravanning seems to be becoming a more and more popular activity in the UK.
"We've been working on caravans for two years but there's been a huge increase in our turnover," he explained.
Indeed, bodies like the Caravan Club claim to represent the interests of nearly 900,000 UK caravanners, showing just how popular the activity is becoming.
This year the club is celebrating is centenary - a clear indication of the enduring appeal of the freedom offered by caravanning.
