Air intake filter 'boosts motorhome power'

K&N Engineering developed the 77 Series High-Flow Performance Intake System to cater for the growing number of people who want to get the best performance from their motorhomes and caravans.
Normally, the factory air filters and intake tracks on motorhomes restrict airflow and thus reduce power. In contrast, K&N's system is designed to provide superior filtration without the restriction.
In tests, K&N's system was shown to induce a horsepower gain of 17.48 @ 4101 on a relatively standard motorhome engine.
"This is K&N's first RV intake system," said kit manager Bert Heck. "We want to provide the motorhome market with our guaranteed horsepower air intakes because they need the extra power to get up to speed, especially on inclines, as much as any vehicle on the road."
K&N's products can be purchased at a number of specialist shops in the UK and the revolutionary air intake system can be quickly fitted to a large number of Ford's motorhomes.
