Funk singer takes delivery of motorhome

Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay has been revealed as a caravan enthusiast.

A report in the Daily Mail states that the hat-loving singer recently took delivery of a luxury Knaus C Liner motorhome.

According to the paper, Jay Kay is the first person in the UK to take delivery of one of the top-of-range homes, after he ordered one from Lowdham Leisure World.

Indeed, the company confirmed that the singer "spotted the fabulous new 'A' Class in a magazine and made a beeline" for the caravan shop to order one.

The Knaus C Liner motorhome has been winning fans from within the caravan industry too - in 2006 the vehicle was won the Which? Motorcaravan's Most Innovative New Motorhome Award.

A known car-lover, Jay Kay is believed to have been attracted to the caravan because of its sleek appearance and famously responsive handling.

"Jay Kay chose this mainly because it was so car-like - it has a bit of sex appeal," Lowdham's sales manager, Matt Greening, told the paper.

"Most motorhomes are functional, but this is the type of thing you can bomb around in, go up to London in, and pull women in."
