Iconic US caravan tours UK summer shows

In the coming months, European Airstreamers will be on show at a number of major caravan events up and down the country, giving eager consumers the opportunity to see the classic design in the flesh.
Airstreamers were originally launched in the US in the 1930s and their distinctive curved aluminium bodies have made them something of a design icon - forever associated with the Hollywood film industry as many stars use them as their trailers while filming.
Indeed, Airstreamers are owned by a number of stars of screen and stage, including Ron Howard, Tom Hanks, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp.
However, it was only this year that the European Airstreamer was launched. The models are slightly less wide than their US counterparts, as roads here are not as spacious as US highways.
Some caravanners in the UK and Europe have reportedly been put off by the vehicle's price tag, as the Airstreamers typically retail at upwards of £30,000.
In an effort to win over European caravanners to this US icon, models will be on display at the Caravan Club National Rally in May, the CLA Gamefair in June and the International Caravan & Motorhome Show in October.
