Hot weather 'drives caravan sales upwards'

Channel 4 reports that it saw research from Freeads.co.uk which indicates that sales of caravans have surged in recent months as Brits get ready for the summer.
The company's report also revealed that sales have improved because more and more people in the UK want to holiday domestically in a bid to reduce their carbon footprint and work to combat global warming.
Last week, a programme broadcast on SKY claimed that caravanning produced 27 per cent of the CO2 emissions of flights to a traditional holiday destination.
"Of course, when the holiday season is over, caravan and camp sites return to green fields, with beautiful trees and abundant wildlife, and the argument is over," the show's producer, Chris Gosling, explained.
