Caravan firm 'gets the Badger treatment'

She might have just lost out in her bid to become Sir Alan Sugar's apprentice, but Norfolk caravanners will be hoping that Ruth Badger will prove a winner as she tries to revamp a local caravan shop.

According to the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press, Ruth Badger will attempt to help Greentrees Adventure Stores, a caravan and motor home dealership in Dereham, improve its sales techniques as part of the new series of her television programme, Badger or Bust.

However, unlike many of the companies featured on the show, Greentrees is not a struggling business, but a thriving caravan dealership with a loyal customer base.

"Last year we had just had our best year ever with a turnover of nearly £6 million," the company's owner, Neil Greentree, told the paper.

"I got involved with the show because it is promotion for both Greentrees and the caravan business as a whole, and because I wanted people to see that Norfolk is not a backwater in the businessworld."

After working to improve sales techniques at the company, Ms Badger was full of praise for Greentrees, saying: "If anyone wants to buy a quality caravan and get good service, this is the place to go. I would not go anywhere else."

Recently, it has been rumoured that a caravan will feature prominently in another hit TV show. Allegedly, the new Big Brother house will include a 'Caravan of Love' in the garden.
