London's beauty spots revealed to caravanners

On May 17th, the Forestry Commission plans to give frustrated caravan owners in London a dose of green medicine as it leads a series of guided tours around one of the capital's forgotten outdoor spaces.
"Caravan owners in the inner city often feel frustrated at the lack of green space and the need to travel miles out of their way to get back to nature with their caravan," said Richard Burgess, the director of cover4caravans.
"This initiative is designed to show the city's caravan aficionados that open spaces are closer than they may think."
On the day, caravan lovers will be lead through Pages Wood in Havering by community ranger Luke Everitt and shown just how beautiful the 75-acre woodland can be.
Recently, a television show argued that caravanning was one of the most environmentally-sound ways for people to holiday.
The revelation that beautiful natural spots are within easy reach of the capital could cut down the distance London's caravan owners have to travel and make the pastime even more sustainable.
