Easter weather 'perfect for caravanning'
Article Published On 3 April 2007
According to Met Office, the UK is going to enjoy dry weather and light winds over the Easter weekend, making it perfect for a caravan trip.
With temperatures predicted to reach 19 degrees, it could be worth heading towards the coast in a caravan to make to most of the long weekend.
"There will be a lot of decent weather to come through the Easter weekend and with temperatures close or above average, it will feel pleasant in any sunshine," said the chief forecaster at the Met Office, Bob Wilderspin.
The news will not be welcomed by the record number of people who have booked holidays to Europe over the four-day break.
According to the Association of British Travel Agents, 2.5 million people plan to jet off over the period - with Spain the most popular destination.
However, with cloudy weather forecast for much of Europe, it will be those people who have the freedom afforded by a caravan to make the most of the year's first sunny holiday.
