Caravan park wins conservation award

The park, owned by former haulage contractor Darren Fretwell, won a gold accolade in the conservation awards, reports the Derbyshire Times.
Designed to celebrate Britain's best providers of green holidays, the awards were the brainchild of eminent botanist Professor David Bellamy.
Set in 30 acres of lush woodland, the caravan park is bursting with wildflowers, animal and bird life.
Professor Bellamy described the park as "an exciting wildlife wonderland".
After buying the park three years ago, Darren Fretwell worked hard with partner Joanne to restore it.
He told the paper: "It is a great privilege to live and work in this beautiful part of Derbyshire, and it is wonderful to be able to help preserve and enhance its very special character with the support of someone like David Bellamy."
Meanwhile, at a dinner held to honour Professor Bellamy this week, the government announced a £25,000 grant to Borneo to help conserve its forests.
