Swindon caravanners raise money for hospice

Prospect Hospice was an obvious choice for the caravanners' good cause, with its local importance and need for funds.
The hospice requires £3 million to fund its services, which offer specialist care to people living with terminal illness and their families.
Kevin Legg, treasurer at the club, told the Swindon Advertiser: "We ask local public houses to provide us with promotional meals as well as asking local firms for donations.
"Prospect Hospice was the obvious choice. We are all local people and you never know when you might need it."
The caravanners raised the cash through table-top sales, auctions and book sales throughout the year.
During the club's regular trips away, the group's 80 members raised further money through auctioning off pub meals.
In 2007 the club is set to raise money for the Cancer and Leukaemia Movement, which is also locally based.
