The Caravan Club site, which is located at Crystal Palace Park, may have to move in order to create more green space at the Rockhills entrance of the park.
The group has had a site at Crystal Palace Park ever since the Festival of Britain in 1951.
And the Caravan Club is currently holding talks with the London developments agency. It has estimated that the park's visitors contribute around £2 million every year to the local economy.
A Caravan Club spokeswoman said: "We very much hope to continue to run a site at the Crystal Palace location for many years to come."
"The site remains extremely popular with Caravan Club members and tourists from the UK and overseas."
The site, which has 134 pitches, is popular with visitors for its proximity to London.
One visitor, Michael Lawrence, who was staying with his wife, said according to icLondon: "It would be a shame for the caravan club if this one closed because there are not many near here."
He added: "The park is so vast, why would they want any more green space?"
Discussions about the Park's lease are in progress.
