Marina to get new caravan park

The site, which is the largest marina on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, is the subject of a planning application to Chorley Council, reports Leyland Today.
If the plans go ahead the site would be able to host six touring caravans at the marina during the summer months and would be ready for operation by May.
The marina encompasses more than 2,000 miles of waterways and has over 100 modern moorings with all electric, berth lighting and water facilities.
Richard Byles, marina manager, said: "We run 16 marinas across the country and at White Bear we have the opportunity to put in four to six touring caravans bays for seasonal use.
"It is not a massive proposal, but it would offer people another great waterfront experience - the plan is to make the site a bit more viable based on the demand for caravan parks in the area.
"Nowhere else in the area provides proper access to electricity, water and waste facilities."
