Caravan club arrives in Grafham water
Article Published On 5 December 2006
The 80-pitch site is just half a mile from the popular fishing and windsurfing spot and is beautifully situated amid six acres of woodlands and gardens.
It is hoped that the site will attract families and fisher folk alike, with the nearby angling reservoirs of Pitsford, Rutland and Ravensthorpe also within easy reach.
Included at the site is a 350-year-old cottage once owned by Oliver Cromwell as well as a heated, outdoor swimming pool, which is open throughout the summer months.
Other activities available in the local area include cycling, horse riding, golf and tennis.
The site will remain open from now until October 2007, when it will undergo major refurbishment before reopening in the late spring of 2008.
