Farmers create new caravan park

Deer's Glade caravan site has won a David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation due a number of eco-friendly features, reports the Eastern Daily Press.
The caravan park benefits from 4,000 newly-planted trees, low-energy light bulbs, an on site sewerage plant and water-saving toilets.
Situated on 11 acres of rolling woodland, the caravan site blends quiet countryside with hi-tech mod cons such as a wireless internet link - 100 caravans and 25 tents can be accommodated at Deer's Glade.
Mr Attew, site proprietor, said: "I was always very keen on wildlife conservation and have targeted the site at people who want to enjoy a quiet country park. We have not added the bar and restaurant in the original plans for that reason.
"It has been a successful farm diversification. It was a lifesaver for the family business."
