Avondale Caravans
Avondale have been making caravans since the 1970s and is certainly a major competitor in today's caravan market.
The Avondale caravan range consists of 4 models.
Avondale Argente - included in this mid-range is the award winning 2 berth model the Argente 480-2. There are also single axle family models; the new Argente 555-4 and the award winning 550-4. The twin axle Argente range includes the 640-6 with fixed bunk beds, side dinette and separate washroom and shower cubicle, a great family favourite. The Argente 642-4 has a new layout with central bedroom and en-suite washroom. The six berth 650-6 is also a firm family choice, as demonstrated by the fact it won Practical Caravan magazine's 'Best Family Caravan' award in 2007. In all there are 10 models in the Avondale Argente range.
Avondale - the Avocet, Eagle and Osprey, all include a touch of luxury to position this range upmarket. Each model has a different layout with the Avocet being a 2-berth and the Eagle and Osprey 4-berth. As a result of the quality interior and standard extras eg microwave & radio/cd player, these models are not as lightweight as for example the Argent or Dart.
Avondale Dart - the entry-level Avondale caravans with up to 6 berths. For relatively low cost they are well designed and offer a good level of comfort. They are also lightweight which means the majority of the vans can be towed by such as the Audi A4 or Renault Laguna, with the 380-2 model only needing the likes of a Ford Focus or Peugeot 307. The new twin-axle 6-berth 630-6 needs the power of a Land Rover Freelander or Vauxhall Vectra or similar. New 2008 models include the 4 berth 475-4 which has either fixed bunks or end dinette. There's also the 5 berth Dart 510-5 which has a front lounge and a rear lounge which converts to a bedroom. The new 4 berth Dart 525-4 has a fixed bed.
Avondale Land-Ranger - luxurious twin-axle models. The 6400 DD is targetted at familes who need flexible living and sleeping accommodation. The Land Ranger 6400 EB provides for those families or couples wanting a fixed bed layout. It also has a separate dressing area with shower cubicle.
